To be recognised by the local business community as the major contributor to growth in business and tourism in our area.

Mission

To provide services and support to members of the Chamber to help in the achievement of their business objectives.
To attract visitors to our area and assist in ensuring they leave desiring to return.

Recent Achievements

• Established our brand name via the increasingly popular Kenton website.
• Erected highly attractive twin walls at entrance to Kenton, which in due course we would like use to brand other entrances.
• Introduced new and pleasing street and Blue Flag signage.
• Initiated the camera surveillance, monitoring and recording project.
• Played a leading role in achieving Blue Flag status with first class ablution facilities.
• Procured Xmas lights with ongoing annual installation, dismantling and storage.
• Contributed towards repairs to Kariega River and Middle Beach storm damage.
• Contributed towards split-pole fencing at re-cycling and refuse skip depots.
• Produced the popular annual Telephone Guide.
• Facilitated the successful holding of Events such as KentonXtreme, Warriors beach cricket and the Music Festival, aimed at drawing new visitors to our area.
• Facilitated ABET training, aimed at social upliftment through skills development.

Ongoing activities

All actions by the Chamber have the single aim of making Kenton and Bushmans more attractive, friendly and helpful to visitors – to turn them into prospective new residential and/or business owners. To further help achieve this the Chamber has:-

• Established and operated an efficient Information Office, which remains our main responsibility.
• Set up and maintained a professional and highly successful web based service, which is our window to the worlds of business and tourism.
• Promoted members’ interests via representation on Ward 3, Ward 4, KOSRA, BRRAG, B&B Association, Safety & Security and Sunshine Coast Tourism.
