And at the heart of it lie the small resort towns of  Kenton on Sea and Boesmansriviermond.

The two towns originally developed either side of the Bushman’s River – a virtually pristine water way which is navigable by small craft for 22 miles – with Kenton spreading across a small peninsula to the Kariega River – another 14 miles of wonderful river along which several prime Wild Life Reserves have developed.

Now, both towns attract visitors from across South Africa and around the world. The single main street shops, businesses and river/ seafront eateries cater fully for one’s daily needs, making it an idyllic home or holiday destination in which to pursue that stress-free life we all aspire to.
